Wall Oblong Kiwi - Moss Green
Kiwi Oblong. The kiwi bird is one of the best known New Zealand icons. Kiwi is a distinctive nickname and identity of New Zealanders and as anyone from New Zealand will tell you, they are proud to be kiwi. It is a nocturnal bird that cannot fly and its usual habitat is a forest. The kiwi has remained unchanged for millions of years but despite appearances it is not a mammal. Kiwis are a ‘biological oddity’ having evolved through New Zealand’s geographical isolation and lack of predators.
My image is of the often imagined impression of the Kiwi hiding in a burrow or hollow log and peeking out.
